What do I need to prepare for Umrah?

The pilgrimage itself asks little in the way of luggage. Most of the preparation is paperwork, and most of that we handle for you.

Documents

• A passport valid well beyond your travel dates
• The Umrah visa, which we arrange as part of the programme
• Passport photographs to the current specification

Health

The Saudi authorities set vaccination requirements for pilgrims and review them periodically, sometimes between seasons. We deliberately do not print a list here that could age badly. We confirm the current requirements with you in writing before departure, with enough notice that nothing is left to the final week.

What to pack

• Ihram clothing
• Comfortable sandals that are easy to remove
• An unscented wash kit
• A light bag for the mosque

Travel light. Makkah and Madinah have everything you might have forgotten, and you will want the space on the return.

What we handle

Flights, the visa, four-star hotels chosen for their closeness to the Haram in both Makkah and Madinah, air-conditioned transfers between the two cities, and religious guidance from experienced accompaniers throughout. Your part is to arrive prepared and rested.
