What can you actually see in Marrakech in six days?

Marrakech is the city most travellers see first and understand last. Six days is enough to move past the postcard, because the programme reaches beyond the city itself.

Where the days go

Our Red Pearl programme runs six days and five nights. Day one arrives from Casablanca and walks the medina. Day two covers the monuments: the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia minaret, the Majorelle Garden and the Menara pool. Day three is a full day in the Ourika Valley in the Atlas foothills, with a light walk to the Setti Fatma waterfalls. Day four is a day trip to Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. Day five moves to Casablanca for the Habous quarter, the Hassan II mosque and the corniche, before departure on day six.

A city, a mountain valley and an ocean in the same week. That is what six days buys you here, and it is why we base the whole programme around Marrakech rather than moving hotels every night.

What is included, and what is not

The programme covers four-star hotels with breakfast and dinner, hotel taxes, all transport from arrival to departure, a guide, and the guided city visits. Flights, lunches, drinks with meals, monument entry fees and tips are not included — the monument entries are optional, so you can choose which interiors you actually want to see.

When to go

Spring and autumn are the comfortable seasons. Summer is hot inland but quieter in the riads and prices soften; winter evenings are cold in the mountains, so pack a layer for the Ourika day.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes for uneven medina streets, modest clothing for religious sites, and cash in small notes for the souks. Everything else, we arrange.
